Lodging On the Banks of
the French Broad River
Located just outside Asheville, NC, Camp Driftwood is a locally owned rustic riverside retreat, offering a unique escape along the French Broad River. Guests have direct access to the river to swim, fish, paddle, tube or ride one of the most popular road biking sections in the area. Enjoy the natural charm and beauty of Camp Driftwood for a perfect, dog-friendly, laid-back getaway.
Camp Driftwood is Coming Back to Life
We are rebuilding with care - step by step, breath by breath.
In the wake of the storm, Camp Driftwood is finding its rhythm again. While the land continues to heal, we’re thrilled to share that 80% of our campsites are now open and ready for those who long to return to the wild beauty of this place.

Our rental options will include a charming glamping cottage, a vacation home, and primitive riverside tent sites. Each accommodation offers direct river access, a fire ring, picnic table, and private space to enjoy.
Right now, primitive car and tent camping are available—peaceful, grounding, and just what your soul might need. "Tiny Harmony" Tiny Home is being lovingly repaired from vandalism and will be ready for stays next month. And while "Paddler’s Paradise" cottle is still a little ways off, the river remembers you—and we expect to welcome you back to the water within a few months.
We’re not all the way back, but we’re well on our way.
Come be part of the process. Come breathe in the stillness.
Camp Driftwood is open—and becoming whole again.
