Dear Friends, We Need Your Help
Our hearts are broken. Our beloved camp was demolished by Hurricane Helene 2024, which triggered an unforeseeable "1 in 1000 Year Flood" in Western North Carolina.
Devastation to Camp Driftwood has left us with almost a total loss, except for 1 property standing, but severely damaged. (See before and after pics below.)
We are grieving all of the loss across the beautiful Appalachia region -- our home and community. But we remain Asheville strong - resilient, generous, and committed to rebuilding and restoring this one-of-a-kind, magical property.
We will aim to clean up, rebuild, and reclaim this special destination so that it's stunning riverbanks can be enjoyed by our friends and family for years to come. As you can imagine, our rebuild requires funding for materials, labor, and large equipment.

* Why are we using Venmo? We looked into setting up a "Go Fund Me" but learned that they keep over 20% of the donations. We want your help to go straight to our rebuild efforts.

Lodging On the Banks of the French Broad River
Located just outside Asheville, NC, Camp Driftwood is a locally owned rustic riverside retreat, offering a unique escape along the scenic French Broad River. Guests have direct access to the river from every rental to swim, fish, paddle, tube or ride one of the most popular road biking sections in the area. Enjoy the natural charm and beauty of Camp Driftwood for a perfect, dog-friendly, laid-back getaway.
Our rental options include inviting vacation homes, charming glamping cottages, and primitive riverside tent sites. Our vacation homes are fully furnished and ideal for both long and short-term stays. The glamping cottages, smaller but stylishly decorated, feature dry kitchenettes and access to a detached shower and bathhouse.
Each accommodation offers direct river access, a fire ring, picnic table, and private space to enjoy.
Please Note: **We only offer tent camping-we cannot host Campers or RV's. Camp Driftwood is not appropriate for small children. Guests 12 and under need prior management approval.**
